Privacy policy
1 · What we collect
Only what the platform needs to run auctions: your email (sign-in and notifications), your bids, pledges and watchlist, payment-method references held by our payment partners (full card or bank details never touch KindBid servers), and — for organizations — verification documents and payout-account references.
2 · What organizations see
Organizations you bid with see your display name (or “Anonymous”, your choice per bid), your amounts, and the receipt details their tax rules require (name, email, and where mandated, tax identifiers). Verification documents uploaded by organizations are visible only to that organization's team and platform reviewers.
3 · Cookies
Essential cookies only, no trackers: kb_session (keeps you signed in) and kb_region (remembers your chosen region). We do not run advertising or analytics cookies.
4 · Retention
Auction, donation and receipt records are retained as long as applicable tax law requires the organization to keep them. Session and sign-in codes are pruned automatically after expiry. Contact-form messages are kept while we correspond with you.
5 · Your rights
Aligned to DPDP (India), PDPA (Singapore) and GDPR/CCPA as applicable: you may request access, correction, export, or deletion of your data at hello@kindbid.org. Note the limit: where a record underlies an issued tax receipt or a financial transaction, law requires us and the organization to retain it for the statutory period — deletion applies to everything else.
6 · Partners
Payments are processed by Razorpay (India) and Stripe / PayPal (Singapore, US & Rest of World); infrastructure runs on AWS and Vercel; email is delivered by our mail provider. Each processes data under its own certifications (SOC 2 / PCI DSS or equivalent) and only to provide its service to us.
7 · Age and eligibility
KindBid is for adults: you must be 18 or older (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) to bid, because bids are binding financial commitments.
8 · Grievances
Privacy questions and grievances: hello@kindbid.org — include “Privacy” in the subject. We acknowledge within a business day. A named grievance officer for India (DPDP) will be published here before general availability.
